We're a community of 4000 Catholic Christians
- We worship in a church situated among
the rolling hills and wooded lands of western Waukesha
County, 30 miles west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Together we strive to be a family of God's people that
brings Christ's healing presence into our world each and every day
- We nurture our faith life through the celebration of the Eucharistic, sharing the Word, Christian education, our Catholic school, and adult enrichment
- We generously use our resources to further the Kingdom
of God in our parish, our community and the world. We value
human life from its smallest beginnings to advanced age
- All of the good work done here is possible because of the
enthusiasm and energy of St. Paul's people

out to all.

the young, the elderly and the disadvantaged.
- to promote values that will strengthen families.
- to use our resources generously for building the kingdom of God in
our Church, community and "global village" world.

A PEOPLE CALLED

Len Grassman, Pastoral Associate - "Each year we come closer to our goal
of sharing five percent of our parish income with others. We assist
sister parishes in central city Milwaukee and Guatemala. We are the
Catholic presence at Ethan Allen school for boys in Wales. We also help
young mothers, the elderly and others hungry and in need. We do this
because that is what Jesus did."

Larry Normann, Deacon - "There is a goodness in the people of St. Paul's -
a welcoming attitude, a willingness to be open to hear all sides of the
gospel message, a generosity in spirit, a sense of church beyond the parish
boundaries, and a desire to live the faith each day to the best of their ability.
Our people continue to be a source of inspiration in my service as their deacon."

Rosemarie Etzel, Business Manager - In the past 25 years, Rosemarie has
managed finances and administrative services for the parish. In that
time, the parish budget has more than tripled reflecting both the growth
of the parish and the need for more ministries and member services.
Day in and day out, she's there, making possible all the good things
that happen at St. Paul's.

Mariangela Pledl, Adult Faith Formation - "Here at St. Paul's we have many opportunities to grow in our faith. All adults are invited and encouraged to participate in small groups which meet regularly for Scripture study, faith sharing, and prayer. Young parents are enriched spiritually as they prepare for the Baptism of their children. Other adults grow in their faith as they prepare for Confirmation or full communion in the Catholic Church. We strive to be a community which responds to all who are searching for deeper meaning in their lives."

Linda Cooney, St. Paul School Principal - "Our core value at St. Paul School
is the teaching of Jesus. Our faith and the importance we place in passing
it on to our children is so much a part of our school environment.
Each month we concentrate on a single value-respect, cooperation,
kindness, patriotism, generosity and many more."

Janet Shanahan, Child and Youth Religious Education - "When I walk through
the halls and see everything that's going on in the classrooms,
the Galleria and the cafeteria, I look up and say Lord you are doing good
work here. There are so many caring people working with children from
pre-school to high school seniors - over 100 teachers in addition to
coordinators, team leaders and others."

Rose Schreiber, Share Ministry Coordinator - "I enjoy welcoming the many new families
coming to St. Paul and helping them find ways to bring their talents
to our many outreach programs and our worship and education ministries.
We become a faith community by gathering to worship, by being ourselves
and sharing our gifts."

Peggy Kolonko - Director of Liturgy & Music -
I am thankful everyday to be serving in a ministry I love so much. Since moving here from Escanaba, Michigan in 1984, I have served as Director of Music at St. Anthony on the Lake in Pewaukee and as Associate Director of Music at St. John Vianney in Brookfield. I serve on the ALMA board at the Archdiocese and recently served on the core team for the NPM National Convention. May the prayer life we share bring us closer to our loving God and Father.

Amy Golden - Director of Youth Ministry - We are blessed to have an incredible spirit in the hearts of our St. Paul youth. Each day I thank God for leading me to this ministry. Our youth come with enthusiasm, questions, and a hunger to discover what it truly means to be Catholic. What a joy it is, to watch the growth that takes place during the 3 year Confirmation program, and to be a witness when they receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

Bill Pledl, Director of Development - The area of development was created within our parish more than two years ago to provide more emphasis and resources in the areas of Stewardship, fund raising, the process of developing new facilities for the parish, as well as parish and community communications. This coming year will be another busy one. The Stewardship Campaign will be a very important focus as well as the second Dinner/Auction.

Kathy Havnen, Parish Secretary - Most often, Kathy is the first person callers talk to. And she has the answer for most questions. Kathy, her husband Marty and their four children have been parish members for 30 years. For more than ten years, she was the parish music coordinator and had accompanied the adult choir for 20 years. When needed, Kathy is still called upon to play the organ at funerals, Sunday Liturgies and special celebrations.

Mary Kurkiewicz, Parish Nurse - "We serve people in their homes,
in hospitals and nursing homes bringing them more than the marvels of
modern day medicine. I am nourished when I bring the Body of Christ and
the healing power of prayer to the ill and suffering."
