Program Choices

Preschool - Grade One Program - Three Year Old Preschool (must be 3 by September 1st), Four Year Old Preschool (must be 4 by September 1st), Kindergarten and First Grade.

Classes are held three Sundays of the month from October through April, from 10 - 11 AM during 10 AM Mass [see schedule available after August].

The Preschool and Kindergarten children will use the I Am Special Series, which emphasizes God's goodness to us and helps to develop a friendship with Jesus. The First Grade Class will use the Call to Faith Series.

Summer Program - Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grades. Held Monday through Friday, two weeks in August from 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM.

This is an alternative for attending Tuesday night classes during the school year. (See Grades 2 - 5 below for a description of the program.) All children attending summer school attend the full two weeks and are invited to 4 - 5 family events during the school year. Dates and times of these events are given to the families in August.

Grade School Program - Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades - Classes held three Tuesdays of the month from October to early May from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM [see schedule available after August].

This program is an extension of the faith building that takes place within the home. Classroom instruction teaches the basic truths of the Catholic Faith and encourages the practice of it in personal and community life. Parental and family participation is encouraged through closely working with your child in the Call To Faith Religious Series along with active participation in organized prayer serves and sacramental celebrations.

Middle School Programs - Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grade - Summer Program- see above.

Sunday Program - Classes held three Sundays of the month from 11AM - 12:30PM from October through April [see schedule available after August].

Tuesday Night Program - Classes held three Tuesdays of the month from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM from October through April [see schedule available after August].

Our goal is to help these young people grow in their faith through not only teaching, but prayer and worship, service and social settings. Prayer and worship is made meaningful through youth friendly experiences. The service part of the program helps students become aware of the needs of others. Throughout the year there are social get-togethers, which help the students see they are really part of a community of believers.

High School Program - Ninth and Tenth Grades - Classes held three Sundays of the month from 11 AM -12:30 PM from October to April [see schedule available after August].

The comprehensive Youth Ministry program for ninth and tenth grade high school students integrates into the curriculum, youth group sessions, parish and community service projects, liturgical and prayer events and social activities. The teaching sessions focus on ways of being disciples of Jesus. There are regular organized service projects to engage the youth in putting these teachings into action. Youth Masses and Prayer services nurture the youth's spirituality.

Confirmation - Eleventh Grade and older - Once a month on Sundays from 12PM Mass - 4PM [see schedule available after August].

Youth are prepared to receive the sacrament of Confirmation through a combination of instruction, prayer and liturgical events, parish and community service projects, and social/recreational activities. The program helps the youth build a better relationship with Jesus and prepare the Confirmation candidates to be adult Catholics and Christian leaders in the Church and society.

High School Seniors - There is a program for high school seniors called "SPYS" or St. Paul's Youth of the Spirit. It consists of faith sharing scripture sessions. Seniors are also asked to assist the Religious Education Program by teaching in the lower grades and/or by being Senior Team Leaders in the Confirmation Program. Call 968-2276 if interested.

St. Paul Family Program - Held two Sundays a month from October through April from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM or two Mondays a month from October through April from 5:30-7:30PM- All members of the Family attend together. At least one parent must accompany the children. This requires a family commitment so any new family who would like to register for this program call 968-2276 to discuss[see schedule available after August].

First Reconciliation & First Communion - Instruction for First Reconciliation and First Communion is presented in the Second grade. All students at this level are required to attend the Tuesday evening classes or The Family Program, and three Saturday gatherings. There will be a required Parent Meeting in October and a second Parent Meeting in January where a material fee of $40 is collected.
